The1st Chorleywood Rainbows (the youngest division of the Girl Guide Association) has chosen CCF as their sponsored charity, and we are pleased to announce that last month they completed a sponsored silence in aid of CCF.
They were silent for 30 minutes and
raised £166.80 - no mean feat for fifteen 5-7 year old girls!
“The girls had the opportunity to
choose the charity to support and they selected CCF… I think it was meaningful to
them because they could relate to the children and the cause of CCF,” noted
Sandra Hirschberg, group leader and current CCF child sponsor.
We would like to sincerely thank
this remarkably silent group of girls, and hope that they serve as an example
to others that even the smallest people can make a big impact to help others!
