Launch of CCF-UK Blog and Skills Sought

The UK fund raising partner of the Cambodian Children's Fund was formed at the end of 2010 to help raise awareness and monies for this remarkable Charity. Trustees include Detective Inspector John Geden, an internationally respected Child Protection expert; Peter Williams who is married to a Cambodian and has spent a number of years in Phnom Penh; Katy Pullen, currently working in the Far East for the United Nations on women's issues; and Juliet Phillips, a chartered accountant who has spent the last five years as Head of Tax at Lloyds of London. Mike Armitage, a stock broker and wine expert, founded the UK arm after visiting the Charity in Phnom Penh and, in addition to generous financial commitments to CCF-UK, has provided ongoing support for seven of the children being offered a future by CCF.
Patrons include Michael Mansfield QC, one of the UK's leading human rights lawyers and an active fund raiser and activist for CCF; Miles Templeman, until recently the Director General of the IoD, and currently an executive director on the boards of numerous PLC's; author and art critic, Robin Blake; and artist, photographer and film director, Sam Taylor Wood.
The UK arm of the Charity is currently seeking expertise in a number of areas amongst which are Management, Event Planning, Sponsorship and Journalism  skills. Please contact Susie@CCF-UK.com if you are able to offer your help in any of these areas or if you would like to be involved with CCF UK in any other role.
